Surface Corrosion Consultants is pleased to announce it has been awarded the Cyber Essentials Plus Certification backed by the National Cyber Security Centre, a part of GCHQ (Government Communications Headquarters).

Cyber-attacks come in many shapes and sizes, but the vast majority are very basic in nature meaning that with just one wrong click of a button, you could find yourself a victim. Vulnerability to simple attacks can then mark you as target for more in-depth, unwanted attention from cyber criminals.

With an increase in online working along with the digitalisation of manufacturing and production processes, cyber security is more important now than ever.

Assessed and verified by an independent security auditor, the certification ensures that Surface is guarded against a wide range of common cyber threats, underpinning our commitment to cyber security for the business and for our customers.

It is of the upmost importance to Surface that we as a company implement initiatives to safeguard the advancements that we are making daily with SAM™ (Surface Asset Management), further protecting the details encapsulated by the software. As a business, we want to continue to ensure we maintain the highest level of security against cyber-attacks for not only our company, but for our customers. This certification gives us piece of mind that our defences will protect against the vast majority of common cyber-attacks, which is extremely important in the ever-expanding digital world.

With cyber-attacks are growing in frequency, achieving Cyber Essentials Plus demonstrates our commitment to reducing the risk of cyber-attacks.
